Protect our democracy
Many of us have been shocked by how the current government has been able to remove fundamental protections and expand undemocratic measures (refugees being deemed 'illegal', the right to protest taken away, the independence of the electoral committee hollowed out and FPTP being expanded further to future Mayoral elections).
Many people are angry - don't get angry, get organised!
Let's join the campaign to expand real democracy where every vote matters. If a party gets 20% of the vote, they should get 20% of the seats - otherwise known as Proportional Representation.
Make Votes Matter have organised a national Day of Action on 11th June to campaign for achieving equal votes and Liberal Democrats are enthusiastic alliance partners of Make Votes Matter.
Join our Zoom call to learn more about how to get involved and how to fight for real democracy in your local area - every person joining this fight can make a difference!
Register here for the Zoom event on 26 May at 7 - 8pm.
