February Newsletter: York Spring Conference, Parliamentary Lobby and ICYMI event with the Young Liberals
We've kicked off the year with energy and an unwavering focus on our goal: to secure a commitment to implement PR for Westminster in the first King's speech after the next General Election.
In the past month, we have:
-
Held a members and supporters event with our friends at the Young Liberals. Guest speakers were LDER President Wendy Chamberlain MP and Party President Mark Pack. You can see the recording here.
-
Advanced plans for more members and supporters events. Next up: national Spring Conference in York. (March 17-19).
-
Partnered with ALDC to develop new messaging and campaign materials for Liberal Democrat activists to our efforts on the doorsteps, including in our held and target seats
-
Continued our engagement with cross-party allies (including the. Electoral Reform Society,, Make Votes Matter, Unlock Democracy and Compass) ), to ready ourselves for the next campaign phase of securing public support for reform
-
Worked closely with Liberal Democrat leadership to keep electoral reform on our Party's agenda and ensure we are well-positioned for any campaign scenario
If you are interested in supporting any of these efforts, please do get in touch with us at: info@lder.org.
